How Georgia Real Estate Licensing Works
Your path to becoming a Georgia real estate salesperson includes four key steps:
- Complete a GREC-approved 75-Hour Salesperson Pre-License Course.
- Pass the required school-administered final examination.
- Pass the Georgia real estate licensing examination.
- Complete the required background check and submit your license application.

Georgia Salesperson Pre-License Education
Georgia requires aspiring salespersons to complete a 75-hour pre-license course through a school approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission.
Students must successfully complete the course, pass the school examination, pass the state licensing examination, and satisfy Georgia’s age, education, application, and background-check requirements.
